To
The Secretary,
Department of Posts,
Dak Bhavan, Sansad Marg,

Respected Madam,
Sub: Revision of OTA to the Drivers and Artisans of Department of
Posts –reg.
Ref: 1. No. 18(5) /2008-D(Civ-II) dt 10.05.2011 of Ministry of Defence,
GOI, New Delhi.
2. No. PC-V/2008/A/2008/A/0/3(OTA) dt 20.5.2011 of Min. of Railways, GOI, New Delhi
On behalf of our Association, I am to solicit your kind attention to the above references regarding revision of OTA to the Drivers and Artisans of Department of Posts. The present rate of OTA i.e., Working Day OTA Rs 15.85 per hour and Holiday OTA Rs 21.10 per hour has been fixed based on the recommendations of IV CPC.
Now we, the Central Govt. employees are getting salary as per the recommendation of the VI CPC. It is pitiable that in respect of OTA, the employees of Postal Department of Posts alone are getting the OTA based on the recommendations of IV CPC. In other departments viz., Defence and Railways, OTA was revised to their employees during the implementation of V and VI CPCs. But in our department, no revision has been done. This is a kind of step motherly attitude shown on the employees of our Dept. This has to be reconciled. The Copies of the above references are enclosed for your kind perusal and action. This has already been brought to your kind notice vide my union letter No. AIAPDA/CHQ-2/09 dt 14.10.2009. But no action has been taken till this date.

Soliciting early response.
Thanking you
